This updated deal will secure Werner’s spot with the Saints through the 2027 NFL season. The news was initially reported by NFL Insider Adam Schefter. As reported by Schefter, Werner was entering the final year of his rookie contract before this extension.

Werner, who was originally selected by the Saints in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, has displayed remarkable performance since joining the team.
